Ford Capri Laser 2.0L – The Ford Capri Laser began its production in 1968and ran until the end of 1986. The Capri Laser was introduced in November 1984, from which point the Capri was only sold in Britain. At the end of production, over 1.8 million Capri’s were made, with 16,000 Capri Lasers registered in the UK in 1994.
The Laser came with a 2.0L inline four engine, which produced 100 bhp, and when combined with a five speed manual gearbox resulted in a top speed of 113 mph, and a 0-60 time of 10.3 seconds. As well as this, the Laser came with a fully populated instrument pod, leather gear lever, leather steering wheel, four-spoke alloy wheels as used on the S models, an electric aerial and colour-coded grille and mirrors.
This example of the Capri Laser has an exterior finish in Rosso Red with black accents, and has an interior finish of grey. Plus a speedometer, odometer, clock, oil/temperature and battery charge gauges. Entertainment wise the Capi hosts a stereo and cassette tape player.
This example of the Ford Capri is taxed as a Petrol Car and is MOT compliant since it is not old enough yet to be classed as exempt.
